These Boots Are Made For Walking

Just a quick one today, I haven't been able to do any outfit posts this week because I'm waiting to get my roots done and they are so hideous I don't really feel like getting the camera out! So I thought I'd share these Office boots with you.

I actually brought these ages ago (back in January I think) but I didn't wear them for ages, I couldn't get them on with chunky socks so my feet were always cold. Now it's warmed up a bit I can hardly get these off my feet, they're so comfortable, the heel is a perfect height and they are so pretty.

I was desperate for some tan boots and when I saw these in Office reduced to £50 from £70 I knew they had to be mine.

Office - £50 (similar here, here & here)

Models Own Lipsticks

I picked up these lipsticks in the Boots 3 for 2 offer a while back, I'd seen them online and I thought they looked really interesting, the colours are so bright and I quite like the transparent packaging, so I picked them up in Pink Hawaiian (the corally one) and Deep Fuschia (the bright pink one).

Here's what Boots say about them :

"Models Own moisturising lipsticks are soft smooth and high in pigment for an intense colour look. These on trend colours will help you create that perfect day wear or evening out perfect pout look."

This is my favourite of the two, the colour is gorgeous and the reddy pinks always suit me better and I've worn it loads/ The pigmentation for both these lipsticks is amazing, even for my naturally dark lips these have no problem with colour payoff. The formula is lovely too, they're creamy and don't need any lip balm on previously which is great if you are in a hurry. They don't last particularly well but when they're so moisturising I don't think you can really complain!

This shade actually reminds me off the Topshop Brighton Rock but a little brighter, the colour is gorgeous but a little harder to pull off than the Pink Hawaiian. The more I look at these pictures though the more I want to wear them both, they've definitely become the lipsticks I go to use most days and if I saw more colours I liked I'd probably pick up a couple more!

Have you tried these lipsticks? What did you think?

May Wishlist

It feels like ages since I've done a wishlist and to be honest there's not loads that's exciting me this month, there's a few beauty products I'd like to pick up but nothing I can't live with out till next month when my beauty ban ends.

I haven't actually spent that much on clothes this month either, I brought some sweet shorts from Boohoo (you can see the post here!) a pair of jeans and a couple of cheap dresses, yes this may sound like a lot but I've probably spent half what I normally would. This is great for my bank balance, well it was until I had a good look around and found these beautiful pieces, I'm gonna try and wait it out till June though, reckon I can do it?

1. Kabuki Brush - Topshop, £8
I haven't got a kabuki brush and I don't really want to spend a lot of money just in case I don't use it that much so this Topshop one is perfect. I've got a couple of their brushes and for the price they're lovely and I can not resist that colour!

2. Navy Polka Dot Floral Tea Dress - River Island, £28
I actually brought this dress in the red with a different pattern this week and the shape is so gorgeous that I want it in this style too! It's flattering and it's long enough for me! (dresses are never long enough and I almost always have to wear tights) And because of the colour I'll be able to wear it in the winter too, bonus!

3. Red Vintage Style Day Watch - ASOS, £25
I adore this watch, the colour is perfect, I love the shape of the face and it's a bit of a bargain. I love the vintage feel to it and it would look so gorgeous with a nice tea dress and some brogues and I've just convinced myself even more that this is a must have!

4. Purple Oriental Smock Dress - River Island, £15 (was £25)
I love the pattern and the shape of this dress and it is such a bargain I'm just not sure if that shape suits me, so it really needs to be tried on. So I'm hoping next time I go shopping it'll be in store!

 5. Coral Mini Satchel - Topshop, £18
Who doesn't love a satchel and a mini coral one? Irresistible! Most of my bags are large enough to live in so this would be perfect for when I just need to carry a couple of bits and bobs. The colour is perfect for summer too and it's not a bad price!

6. Red Ditsy Print Tea Dress - River Island, £25
Yes I can not resist a pretty tea dress, I love feeling ultra feminine and this dress does it for me. I already have a dress in this fabric and the pattern is so pretty and the colour really suits me, lets hope it's still in stock in June!

What are you lusting after this month?

Rimmel Clear Complexion Clarifying Powder

I brought this the last time I went shopping as I was after a cheaper powder so I could save my Benefit Hello Flawless for special occasions rather than everyday use. I went for this after reading the fab review on Temporary Secretary and at such a cheap price I thought it was worth a try.

Here's what Boots say about it :

Rimmel Clear Complexion Transparent Powder
1.Clarifying, anti-shine powder with Pureskin™ complex,
2.Shine Free Finish,
3.Clarifies skin.

Rimmel Clear Complexion Clarifying Powder - £3.99

I hate heavy powders, this is nice and light and the 'one shade fits all' promise was pretty appealing! Rimmel are true to their word, the colour looks perfect on me, it's light and you don't actually feel like your wearing anything which is great. I've worn it over my Revlon Nearly Naked and it sits beautifully and stops any pesky shine. I've also used it alone to if I just want a light coverage, I tend to just apply it on my T Zone and my chin.

For the price this is such a great powder, the packaging is pretty basic but it's a lovely product and I'd definitely re purchase for everyday use. I wouldn't recommend this for anyone who needs heavier coverage though.

Have you tried this powder? What did you think?

Boohoo Shorts

I've never been much of a boohoo fan until recently, I was after a grey jersey blazer so I was searching every online store when I found the perfect one on boohoo. I thought I'd give it a go even though I wasn't sure what the quality would be like, surprisingly the blazer is lovely and since then I've spent quite a bit of time browsing the site and brought another skirt.

Last week I picked up three pairs of shorts and with a code I found online it came to just under £28 for the lot! I feel like I've overdosed on tops this season and I need some bottoms to balance it out a bit and when I saw the floral navy shorts I knew they were for me! I ended up picking up the other two pairs because I couldn't resist the bargain at £8 each!

Navy Floral Shorts - £10

Red Floral Shorts - £8

Black and White Spotty Shorts - £8 (they've gone up to £10!)

Are you a fan of boohoo?

Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick No.22

I brought this lipstick on a bit of a whim a few weeks ago, I was meant to be on a red lipstick ban but this was just to pretty to resist and it kind of has a pink undertone to it! I already had the much sought after Kate Moss lipstick in 07 and I love the formula so I thought I'd add another to my collection.
Here's what Boots say about the range :

"With a breakthrough formula featuring the black diamond pigment complex, the lipstick reflects like never before creating gorgeous tones that make you look, and then look again. Kate’s collection captures the flair, edge and timelessness of her unique look. With 7 shades get ready to fall in love with your favourite!"

And I have fallen in love, this is a big statement coming up, I think this is my favourite ever red lipstick. Yes I just said that, I've been through a hell of a lot of red lipsticks but this is top of the pack, the pinky red really suits my colouring, it's goes on lovely, lasts really well and most importantly it doesn't dry out my lips! Not only that but it's a bargain at just £5.49, I'm actually struggling to find a fault with this lipstick and when I'm off my beauty ban I'm definitely going to be stocking up on some other colours!

Have you tried this lipstick or any in the range? What did you think?
